PressPausePlay – The opportunities and threats of the digital age

Aimée | 17. Oktober 2016

Made by the directors David Dworsky and Victor Köhler PressPausePlay deals with the digital age. In a time where everyone can be an artist the documentary questions whether the digital age helps or hinders creativity.

I don’t think people are more creative now than they used to be. It’s just that more people get to speak their minds.“. Thats what Robyn says about the impact of the future digital age.

The hopes, fears and future impact of the digital age

Some of the world’s most influential creators of the digital era, such as Lena Dunham or Moby are featured. They discuss the impact of the digital revolution on the creative world. And the opportunities (and threats) it has brought. As well as business moguls such as Sean Parker (Napster) or Scott Belsky (CEO & founder of Behance) give their take on the corporate side of the changing industry.

Which all leads to one question. Does democratised culture mean better art or is true talent instead drowned out by mass media?
